I just bought this the other day and used it to make spagettini and it was perfect. No problems whatsoever. I love the strainer lid too. No more fighting trying to strain pasta over a sink into a colander. Love that you can store leftover pasta in the same cooking container. Wonderful product! I've had fun using this product. Add water using the portion markings, toss in the pasta, and let the microwave do it's thing. Draining is super simple, and it takes seconds to wash out. What more could you ask for? I would recommend this product.Customer Review: Love IT

Honestly, at first I really didn't think that I would use or like the Pasta Maker. To my surprise, it really works. Oil in the water is necessary though. Good product. I am buying one for each of my sisters.

I've had this product for over a year and I use it every time I make pasta. I often cook sauce and meat with noodles and having 2 pots and a pan on a stove takes up a lot of space. Being able to put this is the microwave is great.
I also love that it's a strainer. I usually put a towel around the top, since the steam tends to burn my hands when I'm draining it. That's not a big deal though.
You can easily cook an entire box of pasta in here. I usually don't have to cook any pasta for more than 15-16 minutes. I wouldn't say it really cuts down on cook time, but it saves me having to wash an extra pot!
I haven't tried steaming anything in it, so I can't comment on that. But even if you only use it for pasta it's so worth it. I wouldn't buy it here though, as you can get it in most stores for $20.

I tried this as a gift, after using the vastly superior ( and less expensive) Fasta Pasta for years.
The concept is similar to the Fasta Pasta unit, I suppose- but the plastic is not of the same quality, NOR is it made in the USA as Fasta Pasta is.
The size of the product is a problem too-- it is really too tall for a typical microwave. It does fit in mine, barely. NOT EASY.
Cooking pasta in it, tends to result in hard edges . I did find the unit to be acceptable cooking corn on the cob. That being said, Amazon has BETTER products to do that.
Bottom line: save yourself angst--the Fasta Pasta product is better, easier to use, and creates a better result- this is a 'copy' that is not as good.
