Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of World Cuisine Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer

Customer Review: Excellent - Especially for fries
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter and I love to make frech fries at my house using my deep fryer. We started to get tired of cutting them and she really wanted to make curly fries and ribbon fries. We tried this and it worked excellent. The suction cups work well. Even though the entire thing is plastic it seems very firm. The blades are a little difficult to change but the fact that the two extra ones store underneath is nice. The crack works well, my daughter can use it easily. Since we really only use it for potatoes the fact that there is a 3/8" core left is no big deal. We just chop it up and fry it too. I would definitely recommend buying this unless you plan to use it on very small foods like carrots.

Customer Review: LOVE IT!

Customer Review: Great product!
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently read Carol Alt's book, and I've been trying to eat more raw food. This gadget is great. It took me a while to realize it works best with constant pressure, but the "pasta" is amazing. And, this thing actually makes cucumbers tolerable :). Very easy to use and clean. I recommend it.

Customer Review: not what i expected
Summary: 3 Stars

I was hoping fo a Japanese style spiral slicer. This is meant for American kitchens. The Japanese have a smaller blade for thinner cutting. I am a Culinary Chef-Instructor and wanted this slicer for a sushi demonstration and it did not measure up.
