Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of World Cuisine Silicone Nonstick 16-3/8-by-11-5/8-Inch Baking MatCustomer Review: Super Product, Super Deal Summary: 5 Stars
Nice large size and they fit right inside our cookie sheets. The cookies come out perfect and clean up was a snap. Waited until they came on sale and with the 4 for 3 promotion I got 4 mats for eighteen dollars and seventy-five cents with free shipping! One of the best deals I have ever gotten at Amazon. I will continue to monitor the price and look for them on the Friday Sale because they will make a great gift.
Customer Review: This is great! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been wanting one of these for awhile. When it showed up in the lighning deals, I said let's get one. I used it for baking cookies over the holidays. One of the cookies I made have sugar sprinkled on top. After several trays, there was no sticking or burning of the cookies. Clean up was a breeze and the rollup storage takes up no room. I would recommed purchasing this mat. You won't be sorry.
Customer Review: Those makes baking cookies a breeze! Summary: 5 Stars
I love baking cookies, and my main problem was that my cookies was always sticking the pain, or making the pans hard to clean after a batch...
Not anymore. This mat works like a charm. Makes it just so easy. Put the mat on the cookie sheet, put batter, cook, take off cookie with spatula, and repeat. No mess, just clean the mat with hot water and a little soap afterwords and you are good to go.
I have two of those and use them all the time for baking. A definitly must for cookie baking.
Customer Review: To use, or not to use? Summary: 4 Stars
I've looked through all the reviews (on amazon) for this product and found only one that mentioned a concern of mine. I noticed an unusual smell coming from the oven several minutes after I first placed the baking mat inside. It smelled of something akin to melting (or burning) rubber/plastic. I waited a few minutes to see if it would go away but it didn't. Being precautious, I wound up taking it out of the oven. I also noticed that the thick black trim was very hot to the touch, and the smell seemed to be coming from the trim, not the white center. I wish the manufacturer would mention something about this in the product description, perhaps what material is used for the black trim. Anyway, I'm still uncertain about using this baking mat. Does anyone know if this is normal for the first use? (it makes me think about the way a new toaster gives off a weird smell for the first few uses) I'd greatly appreciate any comments from someone who can relate to my concern.
Customer Review: Well worth the money Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of these baking mats and both my husband and I are impressed. I bought a very thin silicone sheet at a local store for $9.99. It worked twice and then it burned through, don't fall for that like I did. Amazon's baking mat is 20x thicker, and 30% cheaper. I first used it for biscuits which always stick to the pan, but these biscuit all slid to one side of the baking sheet so fast that the pan almost flipped over. That night I made garlic cheese toast to go with dinner, it slid off the pan as well. So did the oven fries my husband fixed the next night. Clean up is just a wipe down with soap and water. This would make a great gift for someone that likes to cook but doesn't like to scrub pans.
