Ever since moving into a big city and bereft of a car, I can no longer purchase water by the bulk... gallon jugs and stacks of water bottles are much to heavy to carry for blocks on end. The PUR water filtration device saves me from this predicament. But that is not the only thing it saves:
1. Saves money - I can use a filter and drink as much water as my heart and blood and other bodily functions desire for two months.
2. Saves environment - No more plastic bottles in the landfill.
3. Saves time - No market trips just to buy water. No endless trips to the trash disposal to discard plastic bottles.
On top of this, the water tastes fine. You may want to pair this with a Klean Kanteen (whatever it is called) for endless water pleasures.
Note: My pitcher has not cracked yet after several months of use. I hope it never does. Your mileage may vary.

I just received my PUR CR-6000 and there was no filter in the box. I called their customer service number and they agreed to send me one but said it could take from 2 to 3 weeks to receive it. As far as I'm concerned, this adds insult to injury. It's bad enough that there was no filter in the box but then they're going to make you wait an additional 2-3 weeks for them to send you one? This doesn't show a very high degree of concern for the customer does it?
I would think if PUR (now owned by Proctor and Gamble and certainly not a struggling company) wanted to make sure they didn't get reviews like this posted online (I told them I bought it from Amazon) that they would do their utmost to compensate the customer for their troubles by at least providing expedited shipping and a free extra filter or something. They have to ship me one anyway - how much extra would it cost them? I'm sure it would have cost them a lot less than what it's now going to cost them in sales due to people reading this review and deciding not to buy it.
Is it any wonder why people hate dealing with corporations like this when all they seem to care about is making and "saving" money regardless of how they've screwed their customers in the process? They apparently think profits are more important than customers. They've got the cart before the horse... I'd like to see them make any profits without customers. If they keep treating customers like this they just may get the opportunity to try!

Lovin' this pitcher. It fits well in the fridge and the water tastes good. I bought it because I like to have cold water in the fridge and I am trying to do my part for the environment! I live in a college dorm which does not have the best tasting water. It is clear and clean but has a chlorine smell. I got tired of it, so I decided to order this pitcher. I compared it to the Brita line and decided the PUR was a better choice because it filters more contaminants. I am VERY impressed! The water from this pitcher tastes amazing! I think the quality is as good as bottled water. I highly recommend it if your water tastes bad! The pitcher is well built and looks good. There is a piece of plastic inside that you pour water into, and this is what holds the filter. The lid on top is not attached, but I found that it doesn't fall off or move when pouring. Overall, I highly recommend PUR! I plan to keep my pitcher and use it everyday!
