Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of PUR CR-6000 7-Cup Water Filtration PitcherCustomer Review: Love it. Exactly what I was looking for. Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this water filter. I have disgusting tasting, foggy city water, and after this pitcher filters my water, it is completely clear and tastes wonderful. I am 100% satisfied. Extremely easy to assemble, and I like the filter replacement guide on the side to help remind you when to change the filter. I had no problems with the lid falling off when pouring or the unfiltered water pouring out with the filtered water. The water seems to filter extremely quickly. I can fill the top part almost all the way full, and it will be completely filtered in 15-20 minutes. I am buying another pitcher for my mom because it is such a reasonably priced, useful, high quality product.
Customer Review: Love my Pur Water Filtration Pitcher Summary: 5 Stars
I purchase Pur after reveiwing Zero and doing price comparisons on replacement filters. NO BRAINER! I found the 3 pack replacements filters at Wal-Mart for around $12.99 on sale. The Zero Water filters are close to $60.00. I have well water, cannot use in coffee maker, and this not only does the job...the water tastes great! Highly recommend, and am purchasing now as a gift for my mom!
Customer Review: Love the No Taste Summary: 5 Stars
I replaced my brita pitcher with this PUR pitcher with the stage 2 filter. The Pur 2 stage filter makes perfect clean, great tasting water. The filter seems to last a long time since I can't remember when I purchased it but I know it has been over 2 months and I fill the pitcher at least 3 times a day and usually more. My coffee taste great with PUR clean water and the pets get filtered water too. Make sure your refrigerator has a filter if you use an ice-maker. Unfiltered ice-cubes can ruin the taste and some could be blaming the Pur when it's actually the ice cubes ruining the taste. Overall I love the Pur and am saving a bundle over bottled water and all those bottle deposits and don't have bags of empty bottles waiting to be recycled. Plus I don't have to carry in those heavy cases of water. Now I just use the Brita for an extra pitcher in the frig and fill it with water from my PUR .
Customer Review: Love this pitcher Summary: 5 Stars
I cannot understand some of the complaints that I've seen in reviews of this pitcher. I've owned one for 2 years, and just bought a 2nd, and I've got nothing but good things to say about them. The filter works well and makes my normally chlorine smelling water as tasty as the best bottled water. I drink a LOT of water (120+ ounces a day) and my PUR pitcher has paid for itself many, many times over in its lifetime. I don't think the lid is troublesome at all as some reviewers have said, nor do I think that the shape is strange; to me it is perfect because it fits nicely along side a gallon of milk on the side rack of my refrigerator. The plastic is heavy duty enough to absorb some abuse, and the filters are very easy to exchange. All that is required is a quarter twist and they pop right out. I'd recommend washing the pitcher semi-frequently to keep it nice and clean, but other than that, it is about as low maintenance as you could ask for.
Great tasting water, solid design, relatively inexpensive filters, and 2 years of flawless use mean I can only give this product 5 stars. Don't hesitate, this is a fantastic water filter/pitcher.
Customer Review: New Filters Make the Difference Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this January 12, 2008 at a local Publix. I was about to buy another Deerpark Filtered Water Gallon and decided to go with this (I can't use the faucet attachment) I am impressed. It makes Atlanta water taste like Dasani, oh wait, Dasani is Atlanta water...but it tastes great! Much better than from the tap.
I've read the slow filter comments and PUR must have changed because I don't notice the slow filling. We're a family of three and the 7cup is perfect. I have the habit of filling the pitcher top with each glass of water. I mean I would be getting it from the tap otherwise right? No big deal. The pitcher has filtered the water by the time I need a fresh glass.
