Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Anti-Splash Water HoleCustomer Review: Great for show cats... Summary: 5 Stars
...it keeps the fur around the neck from getting wet when they drink. It is made of high-quality plastic that is dishwasher safe, so it's easy to clean. The lid fits very tight and water doesn't spill out easily, even if you intentionally try to pour it out with the lid on. However, it has limited air-flow because of the lid, so you need to at least rinse it out and change the water once a day to keep it fresh.
Customer Review: Indispensable for travel - I even bought a spare! Summary: 4 Stars
I love this product! I got one from my vet for only $3. I travel with my Rat Terrier "Bugdog" back and forth to my horses 2-3 times a day, and I keep one in the back seat of my truck for him. I like the size; if it held more the water might get stale or make a mess. I'd rather he got fresh water each trip, so I keep a 1/2 gallon Lexan jug in the truck to refill it.
As long as you don't overfill it, it's almost impossible to spill. It's super easy to snap apart and hand wash. I just wash it with my water bottle and toss it back in the truck.
It does have a little bit of that "plastic ware" smell, and that's the only reason I gave it four stars. I wish it were made of Lexan or Nalgene, but I dump out any unused water after each trip and refill with fresh, and my sweetie pup doesn't seem to mind the slight odor.
I don't really agree with reviewers who said it wasn't made of sturdy material; mine's been in steady use in the truck and on the ground down at the horses, in the sun and heat (100+) and overnight in the truck in winter single digits, and after two years, it's just like new. Still snaps tight, etc.
I even bought a second bowl from my vet, 'cause I didn't want to ever be without one, and it's much less expensive than other similar products. I think it's a great product, and well worth the price. Bugdog agrees. When he's thirsty, he grabs it and brings it to me for a refill!
Customer Review: Liked it so much I am buying it again Summary: 5 Stars
I originally bought this bowl to use while crate training my dogs. It was great, even if they tipped them over little or no water would come out. I washed them in the dishwasher all the time and never had an issue. They were used to travel in the car with as well, with very little problems. One bowl got lost during a trip and my cat chewed the lid of the other, so it is time to order again. I didn't even look at another type of bowl, this one worked so well the first time.
Customer Review: Need a bigger model Summary: 4 Stars
Works to keep the beards somewhat dry on my black Russian terriers. They like to put their whole face in the water dish. However I'm only giving 4 stars because they drain it in two seconds. Hopefully a larger model will come out. Something in the 1 gallon range would be great for the larger breeds. Otherwise good product.
Customer Review: No more water drippin Summary: 5 Stars
