Customer Review: Inexpensive Alternative

This is a high-quality, nicely designed product. While the carbonation is a bit lighter than I prefer, using refrigerated water seems to help. Also, by buying the CO2 cartridges in bulk (there are several sources on-line) the cost comes down to less than $0.40 per cartridge/liter of seltzer. Bottom line: as good as and less expensive than store bought and no plastic added to the landfill.

I bought this and it works fine. But, it is not as fizzy as I'd like. There is an alternative that lets you control the fizziness and is cheaper per bottle. The Soda Club seltzer maker more than makes up for its higher cost by being cheaper per bottle (30 cents v 80 cents for this one). If you drink more than one bottle a day as we do, that pays for itself pretty quickly.

Both are better, cheaper and more convenient than store-bought. Also, more fun. So I encourage you to buy one or the other if you drink a lot of seltzer.

I've been using this for well over a year now and absolutely love this soda maker. I drink far less canned soda and find mixing this soda water with juice so refreshing. If you are looking for a high quality, reasonably priced soda maker...this is it. Buy the chargers in quantity, as you will go through them if you use this often.

I was trying to move away from diet cola's and this Soda Siphons has. Its fun and allows me to drink fizzy water. I wish I could do 2 liters at a time but the 1 qt is fine.
