I couldn't pass on the opportunity to review clothespins. Being the nerd that I am, I googled "clothespins" and found out this spring-type version was invented by Zoe M. Martella of Springfield, Vermont, in 1853. Imagine how she bragged to her neighbors, smugly pinning up her pantaloons on the clothesline with a self-satisfied "snap" of her pin. Ms. Martella, I salute you. p.s. these clothespins are regular wooden pins which spring nicely. To date there have been no reported pinning mishaps.
