Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle OpenerCustomer Review: I've owned it for years Summary: 5 StarsI've owned one fo these for years and I'm still on the first cartridge. I've yet to insert the refill cartridge even though I have opened countless bottles of wine. The package says that each cartridge opens 50 bottles. I think I'm beyond that. This is better than a rabbit opener (I have one of those as well). My suggestion is to ease the cork out AS SOON as you depress the cartrdige. When done in one swift motion the cork comes out super fast and without effort. These make fabulous gifts. The refills are avaiable at wine shops also.
Customer Review: Must have item Summary: 5 StarsThis thing works great on 100% of real corks. It works so-so on the plastic ones. Much easier and quicker than using a cork screw or a rabbit. The best thing is you will look really cool while opening your wine. I find that one cartridge is good for about 30-40 bottles- not 80-100 as advertised. I drink alot more wine and quicker now....thanks Cork-pops!
Customer Review: Great wine invention! Summary: 5 StarsWe love this wine opener. So effortless and totally cool! Great little gadget to "pop" out at parties.
Customer Review: Cork Pops Black Legacy Wine Opener Tops with Me!! Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great value and Amazon delivered five of them to me in record time. I never fail to get a "Wow - that's cool" remark from someone when I pull out the Cork Pops opener. It's a must have for quick, easy opening of most bottles. Plastic corks tend not to work quite as well, but 90% of my "opens" work flawlessly.
Customer Review: A good upgrade Summary: 3 StarsI bought the less expensive corkpops (the one that looks like an ice-pick with a CO2 on top) and I was happy with it. I bought this upgraded one when the cannister on the first one got empty. The blades to cut the foil don't work as well as you would hope, but with REALLY good pressure they get the job done. HOWEVER, the really kewl thing about this is cork removal. As you might imagine after stabbing the cork there may be some resistance pulling it off of the needle. With the upgraded version you just twist the device and down it slides to the edge. That makes it work it for me. If that's not important to you or your don't want to spend the cash for the fancier cork pops spend the money on the simple one. It works, has WOW factor and makes you want to open bottles of wine. Just don't put it in carryon luggage!!!!!
