As always, Amazon comes through. The blender was just as advertised. The price was right and considerably less expensive that many others available. Hey,a blender is designed to do one job: blend. This one does it perfectly and there is no need for anything fancier. One note...Oster claims this this blender is especially designed to crush ice. I've used other blenders and they are all able to crush ice. Still if you want an inexpensive, reliable blender...go for this Oster.Customer Review: A user tip

I used a Hamilton Beach for years, and when it finally gave out, I picked up this Oster. It's a little bit more powerful, and it works well. One tip: this blender needs to be at least a third full before you start blending, or it will vibrate. I'm used to adding items a bit at a time, but this blender works better if you load it up first. Have used this blender for two years now. LOVE IT. Blasts ice to smitherines, blade is still so sharp I have to be careful cleaning it. The only part that worried me at first is some of the plastic of the blade holder sort of melted after first few uses, but it has not had a leak and has not affected performance.Customer Review: An Excellent Blender

This blender does a fantastic job in blending drinks with ice. When done, the drink has no trace of ice. Although at first I was hesitant to buy it because the design is too bulky for my kitchen, which is contemporary, the positive reviews that I read about Oster products made me go for it. This blender replaced another Oster that lasted twenty years, and we like the new one even better. The metal to metal drive really makes a difference in longevity, and the wide jar is easy to use.
