I gave this to my boyfriend three years ago (almost to the day, it was a Valentines Day present) and it's still going strong! It was a fabulous gift idea and a handy tool to have around the house to boot. We live together now, and I think I use this more than he does. I could not tell you how many bottles over the years this thing has opened. It's showing no signs of wear or slowing down.
This thing really holds a charge too, we have not had it plugged-in in months and are still opening wine bottles with it. I don't get broken corks, or bits of cork floating in my wine glass any longer! Plus, I don't have to struggle getting the cork out of wine bottles like I did when I used a traditional corkscrew or that prong thing. It's obviously a bit pricier than some manual wine bottle openers, but this thing lasts! Do yourself a favor and invest in a good electric wine bottle opener.

I wish I would have purchased this item much sooner! It works easily and perfectly. Always had trouble with the other corkscrews, even the expensive 'Rabbit' corkscrew. This Oster model is so easy to use and is well worth the inexpensive price.
