Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, SilverCustomer Review: A Milkshake Machine Summary: 5 Stars
Great for making milkshakes, smoothies, crushing ice. We bought this blender at the same time as the book "Thoroughly Modern Milkshakes: 100 Classic and Contemporary Recipes." We've made MANY milkshakes and this blender is ideal!
Love that there is just one toggle switch.
Customer Review: A Perfectly Good Blender for the Price Summary: 4 Stars
What can you say about a blender?
Pros: Easy to clean, attractive, very powerful
Cons: LOUD. The lid doesn't fit well.
Customer Review: A jet engine Summary: 3 Stars
I really wanted to love this blender just because of it's drop dead looks but all that changed when I turned this thing on. I should have paid attention to other reviewers. This thing is loud, I mean really loud. The other thing I didn't like is that its flask is a little too small. May be it's rectangular shape has got something to do with it. However, it hasn't given me any problems and it's performance has been quite satisfactory so far.
Customer Review: A tough machine Summary: 5 Stars
I have been through a lot of blenders, and they just don't hold up. This one is tough, and I don't need all the bells and whistles that other blenders have.
Customer Review: A very solid product. Summary: 5 Stars
We bought a Braun that broke over and over so we replaced it with this Oster which has run like a champ. It's more noisy than the Braun, and not as modern looking, but has given us absolutely no trouble. After having blenders with a plethora of speed settings, it's interesting that we can do everything we need with this simple three position toggle switch - on, off, pulse. Of course that may be more of a comment on what we do with it, but anyway we are very satisfied with it. The only suggestion I would make to the manufacturer is that the plastic top hasn't been improved in probably decades. Eventually they become brittle or warp and have to be replaced. Other manufacturers have solve this. But I'd rather have a blender that works all the time than one that looks nice and is always breaking.
