Description of Orrefors Pastillo Collection
Designed by Swedish artist Lena Bergstrom, Pastillo bowls are hand-blown in Sweden of lead-free crystal, then spun in a centrifuge to thin the walls, a process first developed at Orrefors. The deep bowls are available in two sizes: a 3-1/2-inch-high bowl that works well as a candle votive, and a 4-1/2-inch bowl for holding nuts and snacks or individual servings of ice cream or fruit salad. The six colors are what really make these bowl stand out: bronze, smoke grey, and steel blue signify the muted forests and rocky seascapes of Scandinavia, while the plum, lime green, and turquoise reflect the brighter hues of the Mediterranean. Bergstrom's similarly colored Mingle and Mingle Duo collections mix and match with these brilliantly.
