Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Pill Taker's Cup by Apothecary Products

Customer Review: Useless Pill Takers Cup
Summary: 1 Stars

This cup just plain does not work. The pills either got lost in the liquid when we tried to put it on the grid or remained stuck in the cup when we tried to drink. Even worse, it broke into sharp pieces when it was dropped. Don't waste your money on this product.

Customer Review: This Works!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 5-year old used this for the 1st time last night and was able to swallow 2 capsules of different sizes. She was so excited! (So was I!)

Customer Review: Helped me learn to swallow pills
Summary: 5 Stars

When I was about five years old, my parents got me a cup just like this one to use to learn to swallow pills. (We practiced with M&Ms.) Learning took only a few tries. Because the cup is well designed, the liquid in the cup simply lifts up the pill and wafts it down your throat. You learn how to relax and let that happen, but the cup removes the necessity of placing the pill directly into your mouth, and makes the process very straightforward. While I haven't used this cup specifically, the one I learned on looked exactly like this one, and I'd highly recommend it as a learning aid. I'm getting one for an adult relative who has never been able to learn to swallow pills.

Customer Review: Gross Tasting
Summary: 1 Stars

The cup itself is not hard plastic, but made of medical grade silicone. It tastes gross and fake. Plus, the cup has sharp edges that cut my tongue. Little pills fall thorugh, and big ones don't fit. It choked me, and almost killed me. Don't buy your child this.....they WILL die....not a joke....horrible. Htne, the cup melted i my car, and they have a horale wait time for their customer service. I tried putting chicken in it and use broth to washt he chicken down but it tasted like silicone chicke. Not for the average person. Plus, it can't be run over by a car, so what's the use? I use it with nair bladless shaver cream, and it works great for that.
