I bought the 24 piece set of these containers because I wanted something airtight. I was very impressed and pleased with them at first. I stored a cut apple in one of the containers for several days and the apple never turned brown. But after six months the flaws started to show.
the top on 1 of the rectangle containers didn't hold up:(1) the rubber seal that keeps them airtight became dislodged and must be constantly pushed back in place and (2) a small but significant part of the back handles used to lock the top in place broke off so it's impossible to lock the lid in place or even close the lid at all.
A couple also didn't hold up well in the dishwasher and the plastic splintered. By this I mean they get what appear to be cracks in the plastic, but the plastic is still solid and liquids don't leak out.
The round container tops (in 24 piece set) are not a solid one piece construction, which means two things:(1) they aren't airtight (I found out the hard way when I got bugs in some wheat products I stored in them) and (2) the tops retain water when put in the dishwasher, and it's very difficult and time consuming to get the water out.
Although I had problems with some of the containers many are still useable. Hopefully the flaws won't show up in the remaining good ones.
