Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Slap Chop

Customer Review: JUNK!
Summary: 1 Stars

The slap-chop in the television ad must have had titanium blades or something. The one you'll get won't do one thing it's advertised as doing. It's a piece of crap! Mine literally broke and fell apart the second time I TRIED to use it. I'm glad I purchased this at Walmart so it was easy to return. Don't waste your money.

Customer Review: JUNK! A waste of money
Summary: 1 Stars

I wish there was a NO STAR category, as this piece of junk would absolutely qualify. Don't waste your money. Doesn't chop anything, even hardboiled egg got stuck. Also you have to have a strong arm to chop anything. I put mine in the give-away bag along with the instructions. My Vegematic from the late 60's still works really well, including making potatoes for French fries. If you are thinking of buying a SlapChop--DON'T. Look for a used vegematic instead.

Customer Review: Life-Changing Culinary Experience!
Summary: 5 Stars

How has my life been since purchasing the Slap Chop? Its been a mostly blurred dream, really. It has been six days since the fateful package arrived at my doorstep, emblazoned with Vince's smiling face.
I was eager to test the limits of the Slap Chop, and I quickly put it to work chopping various foods. Much to my surprise, I could not find a limit. I started simply, with just a small amount of onions. Perfection. The sublime taste and cut was orgasmic to my taste buds.
Next was carrots. Surely this more robust root vegetable would cause some strain on the machine. And yet, it sliced through them with ease. I was amazed.
Nuts? Vince assured me I would love his nuts. Perhaps a more apt description would be that I could not stop salivating to his sultry, succulent nuts. They were chopped so smoothly, as if they were the softest butter.
At this point, I noticed myself becoming a little delirious. I had to force myself away from the machine. "Nails!" I thought. "The Slap Chop is no match!"
How wrong can a man be? For I tried to harm the Slap Chop, and it asserted its authority. The nails were pulverized into fine powder, a talcum powder-like consistency. It is then that the Slap Chop spoke to me. Orders resonated through my head. I have been its slave for almost a week now. I feel my free will slowly draining away.

Customer Review: Love it
Summary: 4 Stars

I just love this thing. I make veggie soup everyweek and find myself reaching for this more often than anything else. You need to really slap it hard to work it, if not I would rate it a 5

Customer Review: Maybe I received the one good one?
Summary: 5 Stars

I LOVE my slap chop! I've used it to chop garlic, peppers, onions and tomatoes. I've made larger chunks and tiny, tiny diced ones. I've had no issues cleaning it. It's pretty simple to use...really, all these problems with something that couldn't be easier? Put the blade guide on correctly, twist on the clear plastic base, put in your pieces of veggies, etc. slap the $%#* out of it and whalla! diced veggies. The more you slap, the more they are diced. Twist off the clear base, pop off the blade protector, sponge clean, rinse, and done. Chop on a hard surface, put the blade guide on CORRECTLY, slap down on it hard and you will LOVE IT!
