Customer Review: worked for long car trip

I have had chronic tailbone pain for three years, feeling like a bruise that gets hit every time I sit or stand. I purchased this cushion in hope it would relieve my pain for a long trip from Central PA to the Outer Banks, NC. Day 1 was 5 hours in the car, Day 2 was 7 1/2 days, and by the time I got to NC, I was experiencing no pain in my tailbone. The return trip was over 12 hours long, with a few short breaks, and again, the cushion saved me from what otherwise would have been an agonizing trip. The cushion is not thick and for someone heavy, it might not provide enough lift. It also was not helpful for my work chair, I think because the padding on the chair gives too much. The cushion does work on the hard surface of a wooden chair, so how well it works seems to depend on the situation. I'm buying more!
