I purchased this product in January 2008. By December (with limited use), it broke while opening an ordinary canning jar. The plastic is too thin. I called customer service. The warrantee is for 6 months. Good marketing, but bad choice for the consumer.Customer Review: EASY

I bought one for my 78 year old mother and she could open jars again. Her arthritis had made it very difficult for her and the Jar Opener was the answer. In fact, I enjoyed using hers so much, I ordered another one for myself. We have also ordered the One Touch Can Openers and enjoy them also. I'm really glad I found this product.
