I bought one of these hoping for little and got less. Anyone who rates this item above a 1 star obviously has not had the batteries go dead yet. Once the batteries go dead you are faced with the option of holding a partially opened can above your head and turning a phillips head screw (you with arthritis forget that because it takes about 500 turns for an average size can!) or prying it off since the battery container is between the opener and the can. Unfortunately this opener only lasts for around three cans with fresh batteries. I threw my in the trash along with a partially opened can the second time the batteries died.Customer Review: Finally a can opener that is effortless and actually works

The One Touch Can Opener really works and is effortless. Due to spinal nerve damage I have great difficulty operating a lot of kitchen gadgets. Not this one - it is a blessing. My step-daughter is not a gadget person; but after using my One Touch Can Opener she even applauded it. Yes - I ordered her one! I've used mine for about a year and a half with absolutely no problems.Customer Review: Fraud

It's junk. Bought one .. opened 15 cans and it quit. I agree with all the other 9 out of 13 reviews, it powered out and no matter which brand of battery you put in it, it won't start up again. I was stupid enough to buy a second one thinking it might be my fault. Got the same result. At $20.00 apiece, the Better Business Bureau should shut this company down.
