I don't know what it is with things you buy these days but everything is so flimsy. This can crusher is not bad but the holder is thin plastic and doesn't guide the cans very well. As far as crushing cans it does the job and is much better than lining up the cans and stomping. I would buy again but I'm convinced someone could come up with something more sturdy.Customer Review: Not impressed

I bought this crusher to replace another one that had failed. I had hopes that this one would be more time efficent, etc. Needless to say that it did not last long. For me it did handle the full amount of cans with very minimal times of a can getting sideways and the only cans taht ever got sideways for me was if I was combining a small 6 oz can with the 12 oz cans. So I just did not combine the two sizes.
Sadly being plastic it was not long before the bin assembly began to always pop out of the little slots for them. Soon it was always needing to be pushed back behind the slots and part of the basket broke apart.
So for a short while it was great, but needed to be buidt wiser and stronger.

This can crusher is awesome. It takes no time at all to crush cans. We were doing it the old fashion way (by foot) and this is just so much better and easier on my husband. I would recommend this can crusher to anyone. It is definitely worth the money.Customer Review: Plastic vs. Metal is no match!

The mechanical design and operation is one of those that looks good on paper, but when put into use, it's time to go back to the drawing board and change the composite material to metal. Cans are metal and a plastic ram after repeated use, is NOT going to hold up. Imagine a new Ford truck with plastic grille, headlight doors and trim, colliding with an old Chevy truck of all metal parts. The results will be $2000 damage to the Chevy and $8000 damage to the Ford. Spend a couple dollars more for a metal crusher or replace the plastic one in 6 months or less.
