Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Can Ram - Aluminum Can Crusher

Customer Review: Great recycler
Summary: 5 Stars

This recycler is so easy to use and to be able to insert up to 6 cans at once is really a great tool. Would recommend to anyone looking to recycle

Customer Review: Handy Gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

Had one of these for years on the back wall of my garage. Hurricane Katrina took it. (But thankfully left the garage.) Looked forever to find one. This thing is easy to use and lasted for years. Mount it on the wall high enough to fit you bin under it an crush away!

Customer Review: Ignore the 1-star complainers
Summary: 4 Stars

The last two cans do not feed properly. BIG DEAL!! What's so bad about having to adjust those cans? I'm collecting bags of cans from neighbors for our softball fundraiser. Stomping them was going to send me to the podiatrist!

BTW Red Bull cans have to be loaded manually due to thier odd height.

Customer Review: It's okay
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this item because I was trying to make more room in my garage. It works, just don't try to crush the cans really fast. Any cans that are a little more than slightly crushed ruin the flow of the hopper. (May pop up against the other cans in the hopper.) You're better off crushing those cans on your own. I was trying to crush 16 oz cans and that's not easy with this crusher either.

Not bad. Wish I wouldn't have paid as much as I did for it, but if you have cans that aren't warped or are 16 oz cans, it's worth owning.

Customer Review: It's upside down
Summary: 1 Stars

Whoever designed this had to be drunk. you have to lift the handle to smash the cans. I tend to be on the weak and shakey side so this is hard for me to do. I could lift the handle to raise it to squah the next can, but on this model I can'r get enough umph to raise the handle squashing the can.
Isac Newton had an apple fall on his head and discovered gravity.
Mix the opposition of gravity with the upward shakey force needed to squish cans and you have a terrible product.
BTW it's all plastic and pretty punnie at that.
