I was skeptical like others that bought these but so far I like them. They seemed to do a fine job at cleaning the clothes. And I love that they are safe for our septic, the environment and our skin. Soap nuts are the dried shells from the soapberry containing saponin that produces a soaping effect. Saponin works like most detergents & soaps - without synthetic chemicals! Soap nuts have been used for centuries or personal hygiene & multi-purpose cleansing. Easily converted to powder or liquid. Common to Southeast Asia, but only recently reached US shores. NaturOli soap nuts come directly from India & Nepal for optimal quality & are of the highest grade & effectiveness. They are from the Sapindus Mukorossi tree which are the most effective, prized & valued variety.
DIRECTIONS: - Put 5 shells (about half oz.) in wash bag. - Toss in wash machine with laundry. - Reuse 4 - 5 times or more.

Note: Number of loads vary due to water temperature, hardness, washer type, duration of cycles, etc. Loads are estimated based upon 5 per 1/2 oz. (5 soap nuts) per wash bag. Many customers report higher numbers. HE washers will produce more loads.
