Crafted by hand in Nambé alloy, this coaster will celebrate sentimental occasions for years to come.Like the Heart bowl and plate also designed by Lisa Smith for Nambé, the Heart wine coaster is as much a piece of sculpture as a functional tableware item. The gleaming metal heart curves upward like a shallow bowl, yet features a flat base where a round cork insert makes an absorbent, stable support for a wine bottle. A hole cut through the pointed end of the heart is perfect for displaying the cork from that special vintage. Other creative uses might be inserting a small vase of flowers in the hole and filling the coaster with potpourri or wrapped candies. Nambé metal will not crack, chip, or tarnish, and should be washed by hand.
