This lamp is amazing. I can use it as a lamp, a book light, or even a flash light. I use it on the edge of my dorm room bed, and it works great when my roommate is sleeping. She doesn't wake up, because the light is shielded by the top. It moves very well so that I can rotate it in the right direction, and it stays in it's place as long as I don't whap it in the night. It's the perfect solution to roommates with opposite sleeping patterns!
