Despite the ridiculously high number of batteries this tiny grinder requires, the motor is pitifully inadequate to grind peppercorns, or any other seeds or spices for that matter. It is also poorly designed, having parts that are difficult to fit together accurately. The first time I tried assembling it, I didn't get the parts properly aligned, even though I thought I had, and when I tried to use the grinder, the parts came apart and peppercorns spilled over the kitchen. You get what you pay for in this world; the price was cheap, and the poor product quality reflects it.
