My cats kept peeing in the vents. I tried every other keep away system I could think of. I tried covering the vents, moving furniture over them...nothing worked. But then I tried the ssscat system. I purchased this product awhile ago, and I am buying another, as I dropped it (numerous times) and finally broke it. I bought it not for a cat but for my 112 pound dog who likes to get into the trash. This is why he is 112 lbs. It works great! He would not go near the trash can or come into the kitchen when it was on. I saw a similar product on the show "Its Me or the Dog" on Animal Planet, and just had to try it, but it was only listed under cats not dogs, hopefully this finds a way to dog owners on their last straw.Customer Review: Nothing has worked until now!! I can't say enough good about this product. It really does work.
We have tried everything for more than 8 years to get our cat to stop marking everything in the house. Most say to get rid of the cat... we couldn't.
We had thrown away a living room full of furniture as it could no longer be properly cleaned. We have tried every (humane) product on the market to deter, clean, etc., spending many hundreds of dollars over the years.
We purchased three units and six refills (we thought we would go through many cans). We've been using the product for more than six months and just recently had to replace our first empty can. (The humans in our house set the thing off more than the pets do as it's easy to forget to turn it off when you first come into the room.) I set up one in front of each couch and one on a kitchen counter that was frequently a "target." To go more than six months withought having to sanitize the kitchen counter is nothing short of a miracle to me. I actually haven't used a can on the counter since Thanksgiving and there still has been no problem. I purchased two more kits and placed them in other problem areas.
There's no doubt that if you have a major problem (as we did), that you'll need multiple units, but it really, really does work, so it's truly worth the investment. We just had our first Christmas in over eight years where we didn't have to worry about the tree OR the presents. (Also alerted us when the kids decided to snoop!)
If you're trying to train a dog, it works for that, too. I didn't need to train him, but I guess it was an inevitable by-product. He won't even enter the room(s) where most the cans are located. So if you're looking to keep your dog away from an area, this is it. Probaly would even work for those counter surfers!
If you have a problem with your cat marking, GET THIS PRODUCT! You won't be sorry.

Hi,
This is a marvelous product, and entertaining, too! I have had a years-long problem with my indoor cats peeing in inappropriate places, and had tried everything to break them of it.
Well, the day the Ssscat arrived, I set it up on top of the microwave oven in my kitchen (a frequent target), and went off to bed. Before I'd even had a chance to doze off... "Crash", "Bang", and the sound of a cat shifting from impulse to warp drive.
When I went out to see what had happened, I was met with venomous glares, a Ssscat canister which had been knocked out of position, and a CLEAN microwave oven.
I LOVE this product, and the neat thing is... if you order it with the six spare canisters, you can set the canisters on other potential targets, and the kitties will avoid those, too! Thank you Ssscat :-)
