Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Retractable Dual Line Clothesline, 98'Customer Review: Great for Suburbia...Screw the Homeowners Associations Summary: 4 Stars
I have purchased this item and absolutely love it. The previous review stated that it drops clothes to the ground...well not if you wrap it around the support properly.
My only advise is to ALWAYS wrap around both wrap supports NEVER one. It will put too much pressure on the one and break it. This happened to me, it was my fault, but I got a free replacement from the company.
The beauty of this is that once done, you roll it back up and the HOA Natzis can't do squat about it.
Customer Review: Laundry Convenience Summary: 4 Stars
This retractable line was simple to install. I hung mine outside near three trees. I am able to extend lines around tree line enough to have three sturdy lines. I only wish there was some form of brake line inside product to assist the outside wrap.
Customer Review: Loved it at first, then it broke... Summary: 3 Stars
Loved this concept and the item was great at first. Then the snugger at the bottom broke so the lines were not held tight any longer.
Then we shortened the lines so we could still use the item and now only one line will fully retract.
We are still using it until the unit completely falls apart.
It would be much better if not made of plastic!
Customer Review: PIECE OF JUNK Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this item because I had a retractable clothesline already, but liked the idea of a second line. Do not purchase this item! The lines do not stay tight, so the second you put something on them, your clothes are on the ground! I'm taking it down right now and am putting my old one back up!
Customer Review: Retractable Clothesline Summary: 3 Stars
The clothesline can be frustrating if not "secured" appropriately. I thought I had the clothesline secured by wrapping some of the line around the anchors, only to find that the clothes fell to the ground. Having used a retractable clothesline before, I thought I knew how to secure, although we mounted this clothesline to a wooden pole as opposed to our garage, which allows for the clothesline to move left to right when the wind blows the clothes, thus allowing the secured line to unwind itself enough to drop the line. This retractable clothesline seems more durable than our previously owned retractables.
