I'm sorry I didn't read any reviews of the Misto Sprayer before I bought one for myself. Even though I followed the directions closely, it never sprayed a mist of oil. The oil came out in little squirts and the oil leaked out of the sprayer making it messy to use. Even if it had worked like it's advertised to work, I probably wouldn't recommend it because the constant pumping you have to do is very frustrating.Customer Review: A bit disappointing

I had high hopes for this item as I wholly embraced the cooking spray introduction. I also am not really thrilled about propellant usage. However, it just does not work as well as I hoped.I followed the directions and filled with the proper amount and type of oil. Then I pumped. Afraid to break it (I've busted a bike tire pump)I was careful not to go too far. This barely covered a single cookie pan. I pumped it again, but due to the underspray, I had as much oil on my hands as I did the pan. I did finish the pan with this exertion however.
This was not a single occurance. Both my daughter and my boyfriend have used it with similar results. Maybe I have a faulty one, or overly high standards. Mind you prior to this, I had been re-using one of the (I can't believe it's not butter's) pump sprays quite nicely, so I don't think so.
They need to do a better job in design in my opinion.

I've had my Misto Olive Oil Sprayer for over a year, and it's one of the more intelligent purchases I've ever made. Saves money, distributes oil evenly over foods, is easy to use, saves time, and helps me cook within low-fat parameters. What more could you want, except to perhaps have more than one. I'm ordering another, and sending one to my mother-in-law. I can't imagine that anyone would regret purchasing this product.Customer Review: A must for every kitchen!

We've had the Misto Olive Oil Sprayer for several years now and love it! It delivers a fine, even spray with just a few pumps to pressurize. We've never had any clogging or any of the other problems some have mentioned. It's a nice design so it looks good sitting out, it's easy to clean and has been very dependable.
I often make paninis as a fast meal before heading out to work and instead of buttering the bread I spritz it with olive oil with this mister. I also use this sprayer when just a touch of oil is needed in a pan or on a salad. It has worked great for us and I highly recommend it.

I absolutely could not live without a Misto. This spray bottle is most used in my kitchen with extra virgin olive oil to spray saucepans, mist salads, pizza dough (to keep the hands from sticking), cookie sheets for sweet potato fries or individual pizzas.
