This is a great looking mission-style touch lamp with a three way option, but the box is not very clear on what kind of bulb you need. Once lit, it is a fairly dim light good only for ambiance or to illuminate an area enough so you don't fumble in the dark but by no means is good enough for reading. Definitely buy it if you're just looking for an ambiance light.

A perfectly nice accent light, but it does not have the three-way touch switch other are touting. Just a plain old on/switch on the cord.

I bought this lamp to leave on overnight in my living room. It gives off a wonderful warm glow on the low setting, and the high setting is just bright enough but not glaring. Not meant for where you need good light to read or work by.

This touch lamp does NOT work with a timer. Not a major drawback for most people, though!

Pro:
- The lamp is Mica, so it creates a beautiful warm glow. Truly accenting whatever you put this lamp on or near.
- The lamp is dirt cheap. A nice bonus for a real mica lamp.
- The build quality is great for this price range.
- Nice long cord. Don't you hate when you get a great lamp but can't put it where you need it to go without extension cords.

Cons:
- none. Thus the 5 stars.

Other:
- This is not s suggestion: You must place this lamp so that people will not be looking down into it. Takes away from the beautiful color this lamp puts out. Put it at eye level and you'll love it.
- Get a pair of these, they look nice together.
- Never buy these mica lamps; unless you are ready to start collecting a lot of them. You'll be hooked on the nice warm light.
