I wanted to fix my towel rack in our bathroom so I decided to give this putty a try... I put the towel rack on the wall using putty, I didn't use it for 24Hrs for a good bond... Well next day, I hang my towel(Single), it stayed on there for 30 minutes... It doesn't work on dry wall thats for sure... I should have read the reviews before buying this product... The company that sent it was good. It came on time etc. The product is not a new product as the TV add would make it seem. There are other brands on the market at Ace etc. just as good and they work the same. I really had high hopes for Mighty Putty, but it sadly did not perform as well as I hoped and expected.
The basic idea is very simple, you cut the amount you want off the roll and kneed it until it becomes a uniform color. You apply this to the items to be joined/repaired and in 24 hours you are supposed to get a very tight bond. With the exception of cracked planter, all of my other attempts to use mighty putty failed. I followed the directions exactly and could not get this stuff to work correctly.
A bit disapointing, not recommended.

I got a tube of this stuff from my mom to fix my 2 foot long towel rack at my apartment. It cracked in half when i accidentally leaned on it in the middle of the night while going to the bathroom. I tried other epoxy products which didn't work, but this mended the rack and has been supporting 3 towels for the past several months. I recently leaned on the rack again and it started to crack, so i'm going to buy more.Customer Review: Product Works As Expected

I think a lot of people give this product a hard time and may expect more if it than it is designed for really. I have had no problem using it to mend small problems. It smooths out real well with a little water and hold up just as well. I would say that it is similar to other products like JB Weld and others but works for it's purpose.
