Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Mighty Putty 3-PackCustomer Review: Basic Epoxy Putty Summary: 4 Stars
Yes, Mighty Putty may have been over-hyped .... BUT it still is basic epoxy putty that has been around forever. I have used it successfully on damaged areas of a vinyl floor. Like when a chair is used in one certain spot and created a "pot hole" ..... I used the putty let it dry (added a tiny bit of water so it didn't stick to my hands), waited until it dried, sanded and painted brown (to match the vinyl floor) and it is much better.
I would never attempt to Mighty Putty a 50 lb weight directly above my bed or something crazy! But it works as well as all the other epoxy putties you see in the automotive or plumbing sections of your local Super Slave-Mart store.
I also successfully made a one horned ceramic Giraffe .... two horned again. His name is Kuanda and he is Might Happy to be fully behorned again.
Customer Review: Best thing to happen for surfboards Summary: 5 Stars
One thing I hated about surfing is getting cracks in your surfboard and then having to end the session to prevent water from coming in. I bought a similar putty but it was surf related and worked well, but it was overpriced. The mighty putty was actually the same exact thing but cheaper by like 50%. Easy to use. The smell when its mixed is rancid. It hardens quick and saves me a lot of surfing time. Its a temporary fix, but can last for months.
Customer Review: Complete crap Summary: 1 Stars
The only thing magic about this stuff is the way your money disappears when you purchase it! Don't believe a thing Billy says on the infommercials. Stay away from this -- does not work on anything I have tried to repair. I would give it ZERO or NEGATIVE stars but that option appears unavailable.
Customer Review: Does not work! Summary: 1 Stars
I cannot believe this stuff had fixed the coffee cup handle as shown in the TV commercial. Be careful using this item on anything. I do not recommend this item to anyone.
Customer Review: Does work Summary: 4 Stars
So far, it's worked on everything I've used it for. However, if you attach it to something that's painted (like a wall) it likely will come off and take the paint with it because it bonds to the paint, which isn't bonded well to the wall. That was disappointing, but not unexpected. The other downside is the smell, which is pretty strong. That goes away once it dries, though. Overall it works, but if you're looking to stick something to your painted surfaces, this isn't going to be it.
