I've been cooking for many, many years. This is the GREATEST peeler I've ever used, peels like cutting butter. I even purchased one for of each of my children. It was highly recommended by Cooks Illustrated. Food TV also said the best peelers had serrated edges, which really makes a difference. I'm sure it will out last my lifetime, but definitely would purchase again.
