We were looking at getting a Skybox back in February-March, but read the reviews on the problems with the fridge not cooling the beverage enough. So, we decided against it, but we kept reading the reviews, and started seeing a trend: More and more people were succesfully getting either a) a Skybox that kept the drinks cool or b) Maytag fixed their fridge.So, we finally took the plunge, and bought a Skybox now in July. And boy, we both love it! The sodas are very cold, just as cold as my other bar fridge. And I have no complaints about my cold beer. The only "issue" I've had is that they didn't ship any beer stickers for the dispenser trigger buttons. I had to print my own. :)
Customer Review: Lack of panels :( Summary: 4 Stars
I love my skybox, originally I gave it 3 stars because it didn't cool to my desired temperature. But I got a technician out to fix it. He replaced the thermostat and now it is much better. But the reason I give it 4 stars is because Maytag has very poor timing and problems with supplying this thing. Panels are back ordered 1 month on Maytags site. I did find a supplyer of beverage cards, at www.skyboxcards.com. But, I really wish maytag did a better job having the machine and accessories avaiable.

I have read all the bad reviews AFTER purchasing this monstrosity. DON'T BUY IT I have suffered through the delays from Maytag and the "no customer support" from those cavalier folks. The box itself looks nice & impressive, but is a step backwards in refrigeration technology, not to mention the mechanics of dispensing the cans (average 5 jams per day). You can be careful in the loading process, but the mechanics of the machine eventually misalign the cans. If you want an occasional nice surprise and get a beverage hassle free, this machine is for you, otherwise kick your dog and feel better. As a sidenote, I did not even attempt to attach the skybox to the hellacious base as the holes were nowhere close to lining up. I dare any executive from Maytag to contact me about my claims spoken here, but I know it will never happen because you can't even get customer service to respond.
Customer Review: Maytag Skybox Jam Sensor Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased my skybox recently, second hand, and I absolutely love it. The drinks (beer) get icy cold and it dispenses great. I made some custom beer brand cards for the buttons, and removed the catch net, so I get an authentic ka-thunk when it vends a can. The one problem is that it shows a jam after every can dispenses. I have to open the door to reset it. I tried to adjust the jam sensor on the door, to no avail. First off, I think the entire jam sensor is useless...if you hit a button and nothing comes out, guess what, it is jammed, I don't need a "dummy light" Is there anyway to completely eliminate this sensor...any help is much appreciated!!
Customer Review: Maytag lacks of beverage cards but the skybox is great! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had my skybox for about a month now. I called and had the thermostat fixed, now the temperature's are much better. Since I got it, I fianlly got my college team panel! I was geting nervous after 3 weeks. Maytag just got beverage cards, but only generic ones. But I did happen to find other beverage cards for sale at skyboxcards.com Overall, I am very pleased with my skybox. All my friends think its the greatest thing in the world. I hope this helps.
