1)For the price of this thing, you could buy an actual used vending machine, and not have to worry about the cooling issue.2)By doing what was suggested in 1, not have to worry about the bevrage of choice being too dang warm!

I received my Skybox on 8/31. The stand was simple to put together. It keeps the drinks ICE cold. I have had no problems with jamming. It is working perfectly so far. A Great addition to our rec room. I highly recommend.Customer Review: Fixed Machine

I had my Skybox for about a year before it stopped getting cold anymore. I was told by many appliances places that they would not touch the Skybox. I was told it is of poor design (internally). I found a guy that does commercial refrigeration and he said he could fix it. The problem with mine was the compressor went out. The sides of my Skybox would get pretty hot. The heat, I am told, burned out the compressor. I was told these compressors are a common compressor used in quite a few different machines. They are easy to get. The guy replaced the compressor and added two more fans. One in the top tray and one in the bottom tray to move the air better and stop the heat build up. It cost me $160. to get this done. I bought the Skybox for a low price when they were being discontinued so I think I'm still ahead of the game. If you have no cooling, check around. There is someone out there that should be able to fix it.Customer Review: Fixed the cooling problem!

I love my Skybox. Everyone that sees it is absoutly amazed, it is so cool to have your own vending machine. Originaly it did not get very cold and had the same problem as everyone else. I had the knob turned to max and it was cooling to about 40*. Then I called my local maytag service place, they came out,replaced the thermostat and Wow! What a difference. It now maintains at about 35* Ice Cold! The guy said most likely the diaphrapms in the thermostats where misadjusted during the manufacturing process. Anyway, after they replaced the thermostat it is like having a actual vending machine! Way to go Maytag! I've read 58 reviews and nobody seems to share my problem. My Skybox is the my pride and joy in my game room. It cools and dispenses great. However, for the past 6 months, every time a button is pushed, it dispenses and then shows jam lights. It doesn't matter which button or which type of beverage. Of course, there are no jams and the only issue is you have to open and reclose the door to reset for the next beverage. Now my family just opens the door to get their drinks which is defeating why I bought it in the first place. What is wrong with my machine? No Maytag repair man willing to help!
