Don't like the fact that when it is not in use, you must unplug it, or the light will stay on. When I orig. received it I called the co. & they said it was faulty, so I exchanged it for another one. When I got the replacement, it was the same way. I called the co. again & was advised I was given incorrect information & that it must be unpluged when not in use in order for the light to be off. The Margaritaville DM1000 Frozen Concoction Maker is a wonderful product and a near must for every Parrothead and Parrothead wanta be. The Frozen Concoction Maker (FCM) makes a GREAT Margarita. The instruction manual and recipe book are easy to follow and make operation a breeze. The manual controls allow you to add additional ice if needed to make your Frozen Margarita a little more frozen. This was our experience, but the FCM is easily equipped to handle this task. The FCM is a heavy duty unit - it's going to last. If you drink Margs a couple of times a week you'll appreciate its rugged dependability - when you need "help hanging on". However, the FCM does have a flaw. The pitcher (IMHO) is smallish and only holds about 2 glasses if you follow the directions and if your Marg glasses are larger than the standard restaurant glasses. When entertaining, this makes for a lot of time in front of the FCM. However, push the envelope and add a little more juice, experiment with the recipes and you will be rewarded with the best Marg this side of that mythical place who's name adorns this wonderful unit.Customer Review: Do you need another "blender?"

I certainly didn't...but OH NO...a "blender" this is certainly NOT!! It's beautiful outside and we all need a fabulous frozen DRINK! You know the kind like you get `somewhere else' that you can't seem to replicate at home! Not anymore... I just got the Margaritaville Frozen concoction maker and LOVE it! I realized as I enjoyed the first sip of my blueberry-lime cocktail, I had to make sure everyone I know gets one of these makers for themselves. No household should be without a device that will create such awesome treats! You deserve it. It's super easy to use (I admit, I didn't even read the instructions)...just fill it with ice up top and add in fruit and whatever your drink of choice is in the blender part and away you go. Instant gratification! The machine comes with a Margaritville shot glass, a tin for salt to rim your glass, and coasters - who could ask for anything more? (Except maybe a bottle of tequila). It's light-weight enough to move around so we just took it outside and shave/blended up summer drinks for the neighbors. I could go on and on about the fabulous-ness that is my new Concoction Maker but you really should find out for yourself - don't let this summer pass you buy - get one!

The worst part about this machine was defintely the price. Amazon.com sold it for the same price listed everywhere else that had this machine but you know AMAZON.COM is so easy to use and so trustworthy, I decided to surprise my wife and buy her this machine. She LOVES it! Granted, we may need to soon find a Betty Ford clinic as the Margaritas are so addictive, but make no doubt about it....there is no other machine (unless you go industrial and then watch the price) that compares to this one!!
