I purchased the Muttluks all-weather boots and am very unhappy with them. I bought them for my 62 lb. Golden Retriever who gets very muddy running in the backyard. The first time I put them on her she ran after a possum and when she stopped the front boot came off along with ripping off her dew claw. I was very upset over this happening. She had to be on antibiodics for 2 weeks. I spoke to Muttluks office and they told me this has happened before. For some reason they have not fixed the problem.Customer Review: Great for urban dogs!

After this terrible winter there has been so much salt and sand on the roads that my dog's feet were getting torn up--not to mention they were bringing all that muck into the house. I had been researching dog boots for some time and was a little leery of the leather bottoms on these--but for my dogs they are great! In general they stay on (though occasionally they fall off if I don't get them on properly)and the dogs don't mind wearing them. They do stay on in deeper snow which is great too. I took them out the other day in the middle of a rainstorm and their feet stayed dry and clean (yay for no muddy footprints!!).They protect their paws from all kinds of nasty things on the road and the younger dog likes them so much that when we put them on her, she starts to zoom everywhere. I think they make their feet feel pretty darn good. Overall very happy with this product!Customer Review: Hands down the best dog boots going

This is my 4th pair of Muttluk all weather boots. I have tried the winter fleece-lined boots only once. They are too warm for my dog. I have an Australian Shepherd mix who is very heavy footed. I cannot believe people are complaining about this boot. My dog ejects himself from the back door, off the deck onto the grass at full speed and gallops across the yard in rain, mud or snow to get to whatever creature he has seen that has his interest. He will "throw a shoe" on occasion, but they wear like iron. I buy a pair new every year, and keep the old ones just in case. 90% of the time they stay on and with a dog this large and active, that in itself is a miracle. These are - hands down - the best boots going. Older dogs will take a while to get used to them and it depends on the personality and temperament of your dog as to whether or not they will wear them. My dog does what he's told and has no problems. Give them a try. If you don't like them, return them.Customer Review: Mutluks

These booties are excellent. I bought them for my 2 goldens and they quicly adjusted and seem to benefit as it's been an extremely cold and long winter. The sizing chart was bang on! A couple of things we've learned, they can be very slippery on icy patches or if they freeze after the dogs step into puddle (streams, thin ice, ect. For this reason, we only use them on the back paws is potentially slipery conditions and they need to be strapped on pretty tight to stay on, especially on the front. We walk our dogs all winter and the snow this year was deep and extremely cold making it impossible for the dogs to stay out for long periods of time. It would also get packed into the pads of their feet. With the muttuks they could take long walks and not worry about the snow pack. They walk funny wearing them in the house but once you get them outside they don't even realize they have them on. They are not really made for running around because they have come off but for all practical purposes they worked great for us. A bonus was our dogs feet were clean and dry after our walks!
