Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Mr. Bar-B-Q Cast-Iron Wok

Customer Review: Love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

Yes, this wok is heavy but it's worth it...and you're not lifting it while cooking so what does it matter? I could easily cook for a large family because this is a pretty huge wok. It heats up quickly and evenly. I mainly use it for stir-fry meals but I have made Sloppy Joes in it and will try it for soups also. The first wok was totally destroyed during shipping, UPS returned it without even bringing it to the door, but Amazon was quick to send out a new one and give me a little credit for the extra waiting time.

Customer Review: Most Versatile Pot We Own
Summary: 5 Stars

I'd be embarrassed to confess the number of pots and pans we own. However, this cast iron wok stands out among all the expensive pots as being THE most in demand piece we own. Not only does it work wonderfully for just about anything - deep frying to baking, it looks beautiful too (once fully seasoned). I've given many of these as gifts and treasure ours. A great piece that is always at the ready on our stove top.

Summary: 5 Stars

My son-in-law was thrilled with this item, especially when he found he could use it both indoors on the range and outdoors on the grill.

Customer Review: Mr. Bar-B-Q Cast Iron Wok
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the wok for my son as a Christmas present since he loves to cook stir-fry recipes. He loves it! It is just the right size for everything that he cooks, and is easy to clean. Best of all, because of it's construction, we know that it will last a long time.

Customer Review: Mr. Bar-B-Q Cast iron wok
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought one of the carbon steel woks at our local kitchen gadget store and we could not get it hot enough or at least keep it hot during the process as others have pointed out. So we got the cast iron because it would sit right on the gas stove and not need the ring that kept the carbon steel wok from getting enough heat. All I can say is, we love it. Could not be happier with our purchase. Does anyone want a free carbon steel wok?
