This is an excellent wok, perfect fit for my 30" range. It turns out great stir-frys and it's a breeze to season. I seasoned it a couple of times and it looks great.
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'd like to have a lid for it (stainless steel or cast iron) and it's unavailable.
Great piece to use daily and even better to pass on to your loved ones.

I've had this for over a year and really enjoy using it. It arrived without any padding but it did not crack like other reviewers mentioned. I use it frequently and it gives a great flavor to food. It's the closest to getting that Chinese restaurant taste at home. You season, clean and take care of it like any other cast iron cookware. Using the stainless wok chuan with it seemed to make it smoother inside also. It's pretty non stick when well seasoned. I scrub it with a stainless steel scrubber and rinse with very hot water then dry and place back on stove to heat with a little bit of oil. Occasionally I may use a little soap to clean it if it seems really greasy since I don't want it to go rancid before I use it next. I just reheat and oil it on the stove top for a while. It stays nice and seasoned without have to put it in the oven for an hour. It is heavy but not as heavy as the Lodge one so it's much easier for me to use.Customer Review: Great deal!!

Cheaper than the lodge, it's wide, flat bottomed, and I only heated it with some bacon grease for about an hour and then rubbed it with steel wool to prep it. Save your money, buy this one instead.Customer Review: Great for the price!

Had a strange smelling oil on the wok when it arrived which was hard to remove.
But otherwise this is a great little wok. I use it for roasting coffee on our grill! The heavy cast iron does a great job of evenly distributing heat and preventing hot spots which is key to getting a consistent roast.

I read all the warnings about broken woks, but I ordered anyway. Sure enough, it arrived at my door in two big pieces. However, Amazon is run the way you wish all companies were run. In less than 15 minutes I had the thing boxed up and labeled for a free trip back to Amazon. By the end of the week, I had my new wok, in one piece. That's service!
I had a devil of a time getting the factory coating off the thing. I ended up burning the heck out it in my outdoor BBQ. I highly recommend that method btw. Then I washed it thoroughly, and boiled water in it to really clean it up. Now it's on it's way to being well-seasoned.
This thing is a really big chunk of cast iron and it gets HOT, which is great for stir-frying. I'd give it a five, except that it's not perfectly round on the bottom, though it's very close. But for the price, I'm very happy with it.
