I was tired of searching for knives in my utensil drawer. My grandparents had a magnet similar to this to hold theirs and I inherited it after their deaths. It wasn't very large or strong so I went on a search for a new one. This one is great. Long enough to hold all the knives I use most often. Strong too. Of course finding a convenient place to hang it is the tricky part. You need a place small children can't reach or the risk one may fall onto you if the knife wasn't placed well enough on the magnet. This is THE knife holder to own. I had another magnetic knife holder but it wasn't large enough to hold the knives and tools I use most often. I picked it because I could paint the wood to match my kitchen. Because of it's stainless steel finish, this MIU holder will also work with ANY decore and "this" MIU Stainless-Steel Magnetic Knife Holder IS large enough to do the job AND leave enough room between knives that it is safe to use!
I have a relatively small kitchen, but still had enough room that this size works very well.
I couldn't be more pleased! It's also very well worth the price.
