Good solid construction. Looks great. Easy installation. Perfect size. Magnet perfect strength. Just remember to put the back of the blade to the magnet first, then turn the knife flat onto the magnet. Otherwise you'll mess up the knife blade.Customer Review: Decent but overpriced

This item is decent and looks good. However, while I was shopping in IKEA, I saw another that is not as good looking as this one but does its job good. It has decent look and is much cheaper, $9.50. I will go for the IKEA one if I need another in the future.Customer Review: Ditto

Like almost every other reviewer, I'm in love with this thing.
My boyfriend actually bought this when he was living with other people to keep his kitchen knives away from everyone else and to avoid them getting chipped or nicked as had happened to some OTHER knives that he left out to the "public." (He doesn't even COOK; he's just a knife connoisseur.)
When WE moved in together, he brought it with him, and I was loathe to have him hang it up anywhere. Since we live in such a small place, I like to have everything as "hidden" as possible, esp. in the kitchen, which is MY domain. But, he's made me into a believer -- I'm a true convert. :) It is SO convenient and handy to have my knives within reach, at arm's length, while cooking and preparing dinner. I honestly do not know how I ever functioned without this.
This is also fabulous for a tool room or garage for screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Before we added to our knives, we actually used to put OUR communal screwdriver up there WITH the cutlery, as well as one of our potato peelers.
Anyone debating whether or not to get this, wondering if it will really be that useful or make things easier for you, let me assure you that it WILL! You will NOT regret buying this; it's SUCH an ingenious idea. We love it, and I guarantee that you will, too!

This knife holder looks great in our modern kitchen. The magnetic strip is very strong and holds our heaviest butcher knives easily. Pulling the knives off a strong magnetic strip takes some getting used to, but I've already gotten to preferring it over pulling my knives from a drawer. It saves so much space in a litchen w/ limited counter space, I've had people come over and comment on what a handsome and practical piece it is,'Customer Review: Easy to install too

Excellent quality. I bought two so I could get rid of the large knife block that was taking up valuable counter space.
Very easy to install. At each end are black plastic half-moon-shaped inserts. They slide out easily to reveal a bracket underneath. Two screws & plastic wallboard inserts are included. All I needed to install was a Phillips screwdriver, a nail, and a hammer. Was too lazy to get the drill out so I just hammered a nail into the wall. Nail was slightly smaller than the diameter of the plastic insert. Pull out the nail, push the insert in, screw in the holder, then slide the black plastic half-moons back in to cover up the brackets/screws and the little mess I made of the wallpaper there. Easy, strong, and secure.
And it looks cool. Shiny stainless, very contemporary design.
