I installed two of these bars and I like the construction and the security they provide. I attached the pivot point to the part of the doors that does not slide. I drilled holes on the bars so that they would fit tightly to the moving part of the sliding doors. This way it is a little more difficult to put on and take off but I like the fact that someone trying to force the sliding door open will not be able to get any leverage as if the bars were not as tight. I did have a problem with the pivot latch falling off. I contacted MAG Engineering and they told me they had a new design and sent me a replacement part as no charge to me. Overall, I would recommend this security bar.
