This is the best book light I've ever used. It evenly illuminates the entire page without creating much extra light in the room. Perfect for reading in bed or on an airplane when others are sleeping near you. Turn it off, close the book, and it works as a bookmark. I saw this product on Oprah's "Sleep Show" and got very excited. I am always looking for ways to get a better night's sleep. Also I like to read before bed and my significant other doesn't like the light on. I thought this would be a perfect solution. While the concept is great... the LightWedge arrived and I quickly noticed several problems. First, the product advertises two light settings. The unit only had one. Second, there were several scratches on the surface. I returned it and got a second LightWedge. On this one the light setting did have two switches however there was no discernible difference whatsoever between the two light levels. I could live with that, but yet again the surface was scratched deeply in two places and also there was a scratch pattern all over it, as if there was a problem in fabrication. Amazon customer service reported to me that there were significant problems in the manufacturing of this item, so my advice to you is skip it at least until the maker fixes the design flaws. If they could be repaired, the light cast by the unit across the page is pretty nice, though not perfect (brighter at the edges).Customer Review: Doesn't Get Any Better

This is the best book light EVER. My only issue is the battery life, but I fall asleep and leave it on all night sometimes. The pages are illuminated very well and it's easy to use. Makes a great book mark, too. Don't let what I said about the batteries influence you not to buy. I have both sizes. I was very disappointed in this product. There is only one functioning light setting (not two), the light is dim, and I notice waves across the page. The light is usable, but I was expecting something great. If I had bought it in a store, I would have returned it. Looking at the mixed reviews for the LightWedge, and based on my own experience, I would recommend that you buy the LightWedge where you feel comfortable returning it if it doesn't meet your expectations.Customer Review: Don't take plastic wrap cover off!

This thing will be scratched to the point where you will be squinting and having trouble reading through the scratches after a week. No instructions come with it say to leave the plastic wrap on it. Also, as the battery fades the light dims imperceptibly and after months you may wonder what the *&%$ is going on. I won't be buying another of these.
