I ordered this chair for my grandson, along with the KidKraft desk which, at the time, didn't have a chair included in the package. However, between the time I ordered and when they arrived, KidKraft must have changed their packaging because we ended up with a desk and TWO chairs. Naturally, it would have cost too much to ship the extra chair back so we kept it. Of course, if it hadn't been so well made, we might have just given it away but it's such a sturdy chair that my daughter opted to keep it just as an extra child's chair for the house. Both the desk and the chair(s) are very well made and should last my grandson a few years. I doubt, however, he will be able to use them after he's eight or nine ... and he's an average-size child.
