The Z-Bar high power LED desk lamp is very good. It provides good lighting for my reading area. The base is heavy so it won't move unexpectedly. The joints between the segments are high quality. They allow easy adjustments when positioning the bar of lights.
I've been through a number of desk lamps that didn't last as long as I thought they would. They were halogen and incandescent bulb types. I think this Z-Bar is going to last much longer.

A lot of the other reviews have a lot of the details already listed, I'd like to add that the lowest setting makes for a really subtle glow on the desk (think red pilot/army night vision brightness) which is really fun for late night gaming or surfing. You can also aim it straight up (rotating the last segment on the end like it was a screwdriver) at the ceiling (works best on white) to disperse the light across the room. I'm lighting a 14'x14' space like this for ambient lighting (watching movies, not stepping on the cat, avoiding glare on monitors). It's slick for sure, I'm getting another one.Customer Review: Great LED Light

This is a nice design. This led lamp is better in reality than what I anticipated - how often does one say that about a product? . It's nice to be able to adjust the led bar and dimmer so that the correct amount of light comes from the correct angle and is not creating a lot of glare. It's also nice to turn the led bar and bounce the light off a wall or ceiling for ambient room light. I've had it about a week but felt compelled to write a good review. We shall see how it holds up over time.
