Customer Review: Did I Get The Same Knife As The Other Reviewers???

I'm wondering if the other reviewers are referring to the same knife because the one I received is the WORST bread-knife I've ever used. Or perhaps I received a "dud" because the packaging looked rather old and faded. This "bread-knife" can't even cut the crust off of a PB&J sandwich without shredding it. And the supposed "spatula tip" is a joke. It's also a lot bulkier than I thought it would be, making it unwieldy to use as a spreader. I'm giving it two stars because I'm hoping to find a better use for it cutting up fruits and veggies. The description says it can be used for this purpose, but the description also says it is "dishwasher safe". The packaging, on the other hand, says not to put it in the dishwasher. Whom do I believe?

I realize that you get what you pay for and since I didn't pay much, I'm not too terribly disappointed. I had looked forward to getting the whole Pure Komachi collection because I like the different colors and the fact that they are coated with non-stick resin, but I won't be ordering anymore of these knives.
