Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Kershaw Taskmaster Shears

Customer Review: Awesome kitchen shear
Summary: 5 Stars

Very sharp, very easy to clean, very good. These are really great kitchen shears, definitely a few steps up from the cheap stuff and very much worth the price difference between these and cheap kitchen shears. They cut through chicken very well, and the bone notch lets you cut through legs with only some effort and ribs with almost no effort. Don't hesitate, just get them, you'll be glad that you did.

Customer Review: Bad Design
Summary: 1 Stars

These scissors have a serious design flaw in my opinion.
One of the edges has a "bone notch" which is designed for grabbing game or poultry bones. Unfortunately the things that I like to cut get stuck in this silly "bone notch" every time.

Look at the photo above and you will see what I mean. There is no need for Kershaw to have a notch in the blade of my scissors.

But next time I'm cleaning a Cornish Hen I will keep this gadget in mind.

Customer Review: Best Shears
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought these shears a little while ago, and they have been nothing but great. They fit wonderfully in both mine and my boyfriend's hands, which is great because I have much smaller hands than he does. Plus, I'm left-handed and do not have a problem using these shears either right or left-handed. We love that they come apart, so they can be cleaned properly after cutting raw meat. And they seem to cut through anything without a problem at all. We've used them to cut through packaging, pizza, hotdogs, pepperoni, beef, chicken, and even a kudzu bush so we could save a feral dog who got tangled in it! They're dead useful and much nicer than any knock-off comparison that you'd find at Target, Walmart, or Linens N' Things!

Customer Review: Best choice at this price point
Summary: 5 Stars

These should last a very long time, 20 years or so if you do not leave in water all the time. I have gotten by for years with the two dollar cheapos from Ikea; just buy a new pair every 2 years or so. Difference is nite and day of course; these blow any cheapo away.

One person below complained above that the identical item branded Kershaw is sold much cheaper, but it is only two bucks cheaper.

Customer Review: Excellent Tool for Kitchen and Life
Summary: 5 Stars

These are my all-time favorite tool in the house. I use them for everything. Kerhsaw is known for their high-qulaity and these shears are no exception. They handle any job, clean easily and last forever. An excellent purchase!
