I found that the soda dispenser DOES indeed keep my soda fizzier than it would have been otherwise. It has a couple of shortcomings, however. For one, the plastic tube that runs down the soda bottle is not long enough and (since it is shipped coiled up) would not straighten out to get anywhere near the bottom of a two liter bottle. I bought $1 worth of silicon hose as a local craft store to fix the problem. Also, by the end of the bottle, you have to work to get the soda dispensed because there is not enough pressure to get a good flow out of the nozzle. As a result, it's better than no dispenser, but not by much.
