Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Sweater Stone

Customer Review: Didn't work for me
Summary: 2 Stars

I don't know if I didn't use it correctly but it seemed like it snagged the fabric of my sweater more than it removed the pills. I followed the suggestions in other reviews (to wear the sweater or to put it on something hard) but there are still a ton of pills. I got more pills off using a razor.

Customer Review: Disappointed
Summary: 1 Stars

Obviously, this review comes from someone who has suffered from sweater "pilling" for the last 600 years. I had high hopes for the sweater stone but alas it is no better or no worse than anything else I have used. One thing is certain, whatever is used, whether it be sweater stone, a razor, electric shavers, or lint brushes, you will have to do it again immediately after wearing the sweater for three minutes.

Interestling, I have discovered thst my 100% cotton sweater does not "pill."

Customer Review: Disappointment
Summary: 1 Stars

The stone is difficult to use and does not really do what it is advertised to accomplish. Too bad, most things from Amazon are good.

Customer Review: Does not work very well on pilled fleece.
Summary: 2 Stars

I have a couple of old fleece jackets that are so pilled I am embarrassed to wear them out of the house. I thought this stone might help but it does not. Makes the fleece softer but you end up with soft fuzzy lumps.

Customer Review: Does the job, but with a lot of help from you
Summary: 3 Stars

The first thing I noticed about this stone was that it had an unpleasant smell when I took it out of the packaging. So far, the smell has not gone away. The stone works on removing pills, but you have to go over and over the same territory to get rid of them all. Unfortunately, I don't have any mildly pilled sweaters because either I wear them a lot or not at all. It's a project, but the sweater does come out looking a lot better.
