The blender works fine but due to a design flaw the plastic part of the lid can fall into the blender. Do not count on Oster customer service if this happens, when it happened to me they wanted $8.00 to send me a new part! I returned the blender for a full refund.Customer Review: Good Basic Blender

I bought this blender to replace a Sunbeam blender that we wore out. Turns out this is a much better product. I don't like the blnders with glass bowls - too heavy and drop them and you have a broken floor or counter tile. We make huge smoothies of frozen bananas & strawberries and raw apples and cooked oatmeal and flax seeds and cantaloupe and on and on and this blender does this very well. The blades are very sharp and cut the raw flax seeds to meal during the blending - which is great as the whole seeds don't digest very well. The bottom seal works very well and the whole thing is easy to clean. It's not real quiet - but it only runs a couple of minutes a day - so who cares. Recommended.Customer Review: Great Gift!

I have had this blender for over 5 years. I bought it when I gave up trying to make margaritas with my old one. It works very well and fast. Having so many settings, you can work it like a finely tuned instrument. I start it on grate, then go to liquify briefly and finish up in blend. The process takes less than 2 minutes. It produces a very fine ice grain. It is also very easy to clean. It also has a lot of power. I would highly recommend it.
