Twin Pro S premium knives are classically constructed for both the professional and aspiring chef. The black polypropylene handles feature the strength of a full visible tang and triple rivets, while the enhanced bolster adds to the beautiful balance. In fact, the Twin Pro S was the first traditional knife to feature a "super" bolster. Henckels forges the blades, bolster, and tang out of a single piece of high-carbon, no-stain steel using its new Sigmaforge process. Then the blades are Friodur ice-hardened for strength and the edges laser-controlled and precision honed, which basically means the knives come out of the box super-sharp and able to retain their sharpness longer. A popular model since its launch in 1990, the German-made Pro S (sometimes called Professional 'S') has earned high rankings from independent Consumer Reports and is covered by a lifetime warranty against defects.
